It's pretty obvious that there are times in life when "good enough" isn't "good enough." If you want to get into a top school that has lots of applicants who are averaging better marks/scores than you, are you going to get in? If you're at a job where someone else is doing better work and therefore being rewarded for it, are you going to be promoted or paid the I am a Disney Princess unless Maleficent needs me shirt? Now I guess what can be said is that in some of those cases, those highest achievers end up not doing other aspects of their lives "well enough," which is the downside to their success and achievements. So, in the end, do you want to be a jack of all trades or a master of one? (Rhetorical question--everyone has to answer that for themselves.
