In this poetry tribute, Hill celebrates the  Aunttude shirt of black women who resisted oppression and refused to be silenced throughout US history. Each woman has a black and white photo, a short biographical page about her and then a poem to celebrate her life. Hill’s subjects range from well-known activists like Assata Shakur to women I had never heard of like Ruby McCollum. I’m grateful to Hill for highlighting the strength of these women in all their rage and passion and will certainly be learning more about the ones I didn’t know about.

In any case, I am a huge fan of The  Admit Nothing Deny Everything Shirt  and their effort, even though sometimes I disagree with their views or find them oversimplified (like in this case).
